NARDO
NARDO is a musician, photographer and published writer.
His musical influences include The Beatles, the British Invasion groups, as well as the great Blues and Jazz artists from the 20th century. Passion with an edge, love, hope and alienation describe the themes of his songs, and his writing. He was a drummer for local Boston bands - Classic Ruins and Witch Doctor. After years of playing in the smoky bars and clubs, he decided to take a break from the music scene and influenced by the wild abandon of the Beat generation writers and poets, embarked on a three and a half year journey through Europe, Africa, Asia Minor and the Middle East, living the life of an expatriate.
Observing exotic cultures, taking photos and entrenching himself in local traditions, NARDO worked as an English teacher, disc jockey, farmer, prep chef, jewelry maker, actor, model and set designer as well as played drums in various Rock ‘N’ Roll bands, taught himself guitar - with a little help from his friends - and journaled often well into the morning light.
The long and winding road lead NARDO to his final destination, Amsterdam. Living a minimalist existence in
his attic room, he crafted songs and stories. Many of his
Flash Fiction pieces are currently published in online literary magazines. Travel Photos are on display. His seven song
CD - One Lost Cause is now available for download.
NARDO’s new projects include a Rock ‘N’ Roll series, a second novella, more Flash Fiction, and new songs.
